Demo(n)s
Premacy: Voices above

Staffer/Polish fuckbucket Rafal reviewed these guys’ last demo here some time ago and now the time’s come for me to do them the favour of analyzing their new shit.
I’m sad to say that I should prolly have let someone else do the honour coz this isn’t exactly what gets my juices flowing. Calling Premacy “metal” would be as truthful as saying I have a 1-yard cock (it’s around 3 yards, actually). So now you know Premacy ain’t that much metal. Rafal drew comparisons to Nevermore and Megadeth, by which I understand very little. He also said “it’s generic metal, uninspired post-hardrock sprinkled with a handful of heavier riffs, and that’s about it”. I have to completely second that.
After going thru the 3 first tracks and literally being kinda bored silly by the mid-tempo and (almost) all clean vocals, I finally expect some groove when “The search” starts off promising (ok, I’ll admit that the title-track’s got some neat riffs as well). There’s this fuck-all catchy riff in this one that actually makes me throw the horns. Now when Premacy finally starts to groove they make the mistake of, once again, breaking down into their slow, boring shit. A little more up tempo material wouldn’t hurt. Take notes, fuckers.
Obviously these guys are somewhat competent musicians, but so are Dream Theater without it helping the actual material. The semi-nice choruses can’t help that fact.
Premacy shines very seldom.
